CATEGORIES & PARTICIPATION
1Do winners get sponsored to compete in Spain or any international competition?
Not yet — but we’re building towards that! This year, we’re focused on growing the national scene. With your support, international stages might just be next.
2Can I join both Individual and Family categories?
Yes, you can! As long as the competition rounds don’t overlap, you’re free to compete in both. Just bring your A-game (and maybe an energy drink).
3For the Family category, do we have to be actual family members?
Nope! Friends, colleagues, classmates — all are welcome. You just need 2 to 4 people, with at least one person aged 12 or above.
4Do we need 4 people to join the Family category?
Not at all! You can join with 2 or 3 people. The fee is still RM250 per group, no matter the team size. Fewer people = more puzzle pieces per person. Up for the challenge?
5I have never joined a competition before — is this okay for beginners?
Totally! This event is perfect for beginners and pros alike. We care more about your spirit than your speed — just come to enjoy the challenge.
6I want to join but I don’t have a team. Can you match me with others?
Unfortunately, we don’t offer team-matching. But you can post in puzzle communities or invite a few friends to join — you’d be surprised who’s up for it!
7Can I switch teammates after registering?
Yes, you can switch teammates after registering!
FEES & PARTICIPANT KIT
1What do participants receive?
You’ll get:
- The puzzle (300+ or 500+ pieces depending on your category)
- A pouch bag
- A participant certificate
- An official event medal
- And maybe… a trophy and cash prize if you win 😉
2Do we get to keep the puzzle after the competition?
Yes, the puzzle is all yours! Frame it, redo it, or save it as a souvenir — it’s part of your kit.
LOGISTICS & VENUE
1What framework or format does this competition follow?
This competition is modeled after the Australia Jigsaw Puzzle Federation (AJPF) format. We worked closely with AJPF and even flew to Perth to observe their national competition in person, all to ensure we deliver a top-notch experience for Malaysian puzzlers that meets international standards.
2Can I request a table near a friend or another team?
Unfortunately, table spots are pre-assigned, so we can’t promise you’ll sit next to someone you know.
3Will there be food and drinks sold at the venue?
Yes! It’s happening at Quill City Mall, so you’ll have plenty of food options nearby
4Can I bring my baby/kids to the event even if they’re not competing?
Yes, spectators are welcome! But since the competition area needs to stay quiet, we recommend supervising kids or having them wait outside the main puzzling zone.
5I’m just coming to watch — do I need to register?
Nope! You can show up, support your friends, take pics, or hang around the venue freely. There might even be some booths and mini games to enjoy.
6Can I withdraw and get a refund if I can’t join?
Sorry, all registrations are non-refundable. Plan ahead and make sure you’re available on the competition day!
